Humber Bay Shores Real Estate
The Humber Bay Shores is a unique treed waterfront community of condos and townhouses found in west-end Toronto, south of the Lake Shore with Mimico to the west and the Humber River to the east.
Until a few years ago, this area was known as a bleak strip of outdated motels that happened to have some of the best views of both the Lake and City. It has since gone through a phenomenal transformation into a major redevelopment of luxury condominiums that overlook Lake Ontario and surrounding parklands.

The first luxury buildings in the area were Palace Pier in 1978, Palace Place in 1993, Grand Harbour’s 3 towers & town houses and the 3 phases of Marina Del Rey in 1991. They were the beginning of luxury resort-styled living in coveted locations and paved the way for future developments. Newport Beach Condos, completed in 2000 started the next boom within this master planned community that is nestled within a treed enclave of parks and prime lakefront, and continues to grow.
The Humber Bay Shores overlook Lake Ontario and the surrounding parks, with dramatic outstanding views of the downtown Toronto skyline and passing sailboats on the sparking water. Humber Bay Park West is an extensive parkland area with winding paths and trails. This magical location offers beaches, model boat ponds, fishing pier, picnic tables, nature reserve, public boat launching, Etobicoke Yacht Club, Mimico Cruising Club, Lighthouse, off-leash dog area and some of the best spots to sit and watch the sunset! The Farmer’s Market is found in the parking lot nearest Lake Shore and is open Saturday mornings from June until October.
The eastern part of Humber Bay (which consists of two landspits – East & West) is where the majority of the condo buildings and townhouses are found. This is accessed at the foot of Park Lawn south of the Lake Shore, via Marine Parade Drive. As you drive down this winding road, you’ll find Condominium buildings surrounding this picturesque community that is bordered by the Lake. This scenic and striking area offers residents and visitors a place to stroll along paths with native wildflowers, shrubs, grasses and butterfly habitats, leading to the Humber Bay Arch Bridge for pedestrian and bicycle traffic that connects to the Martin Goodman Trail along the western Beaches. Water enthusiasts in the area have choices ranging from Boulevard Club, Argonaut Rowing Club, Sunnyside Paddling Club, and Toronto Sailing & Canoe Club.

It’s really fast and easy driving to downtown Toronto via Lake Shore, Queensway or Gardiner Expressway and if going west of the City, with the QEW.
There have been significant changes to the immediate area of Humber Bay Shores, with all of the current developments as well as the future buildings being built. Urbanites that don’t want to live amongst mega-skyscrapers and downtown’s concrete and cement yet are choosing vertical urbanism, are looking for communities such as Humber Bay Shores to live and play.
